Climate Wave is excited to see that there is some movement towards green sports and in this case from North America. The Green Sports Alliance has formed to encourage sporting bodies to become environmentally conscious and spread the word to fans and sponsors. About Me
A former executive director of Surfrider Foundation Australia, long-time surfer and environmentalist, Greg’s environmental campaigning began at a No Nukes rally in Sydney in 1989. Joining the Surfrider Foundation in 1991, Greg held positions from national secretary to local branch president to executive director over a 10 year period and is now one of only a handful of honorary lifetime members.

Initiating and managing many environmental projects, from local creek regeneration through to national and international campaigns and education programs. Greg retired his position as Exec. Direct. in 2002 and founded his own surf coaching business, while maintaining his environmental and social activism in a range of local and international campaigns. Greg still volunteers his time in a mentor role as Vice President for the local Gold Coast Tweed Branch of Surfrider Foundation.
